Biography:

Buse Sever was born in Istanbul. After completing her primary education, she enrolled in Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory Instrument Education Department Oud branch, and graduated from this department after secondary school, high school and bachelor degree. In 2023, she graduated from ITU Graduate Education Institute Instrument-Voice Performance Master's Degree with Thesis.
She participated in concerts within the university, in many cultural centers and festivals in and outside the city, and performed oud in albums released in Turkey and abroad. She worked as a contracted oud artist at TRT Istanbul radio and participated in many programs within TRT music with her oud. In 2010, at the invitation of the Ethiopian ambassador, she attended the Republic Day reception in the capital Addisababa and gave a recital on oud. In the following years, she performed live oud in the theater play “Rumi in the Blink of the Eye”, a project of Kutsi Erguner and director Robert Wilson. She performed with this team in France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Greece and Poland.
Her work continues within the Bağlama - Oud Duo project, which she started with Hasan Vapur, and in 2024, the duo's single “Feridem” was published on digital platforms through Ahenk Music publishing. The artist currently teaches Ud and Repertoire as an academician at Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory Instrument Education Department.
