Biography:

Ozlem Kolat started her clarinet training at the State Conservatory of Trakya University in 1995 supervision of Oktay Bağırov. She was awarded the 2nd prize of International Young Musician of the Year in 1998 and the 3rd prize in 2000, in the competitions organized by Edirne Rotary Club. She was admitted to Gurhan Eteke’s clarinet class of the Istanbul University State Conservatory in 2001and graduated in 2005. In 2006, she was admitted to Guy Deplus' class at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and she studied chamber music with Chantal De Buchy and took part in the works and the concerts of Esemble Alternance. Kolat was awarded a Performer Diploma (Diplôme D’Exécution) after completing one year of study at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. In 2008 she started Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University master degree program and graduated in 2011.
She has performed in many national and international music halls and music festivals including the Istanbul International Music Festival, International Eskisehir Music Festival, International Vilnius Music Festival, Japan-Tokyo ClarinetFest 2005, Italy-Assisi Clarinet Festival, Spain-Madrid Clarinet Festival, Belgium-Ostend Clarinet Festival, Pakistan, Slovenia, Bulgaria, India, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia with the Ametist Clarinet Quintet and Istanbul Clarinet Choir and has also appeared on many TV and radio programs as a guest performer.
She still continues her solo and chamber music concerts and teaching clarinet at Istanbul Technical University.
