Born in September 9, 1961.

She continued her folk dances, which she had begun in her high school years; in the Turkish Folklore Institute and worked as a folk dancer in various schools.

She worked as a chorist and soloist in ITU Turkish Folk Music Choir under the supervision of Şahin Gültekin.

After completing her undergraduate education at ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory, Basic Sciences Department in 1984, she started to work as a Research Assistant.

In 1992, with the thesis titled “Studies on Interval Education in Turkish Folk Music”, she completed her masters degree in ITU Institute of Social Sciences, Musical Arts Department, Turkish Folk Music.

In 1998 the proficiency in doctorate program, with the thesis titled “Analytical Studies on Selected Melodies from Folk Music of Teke Region”, she completed her Master of Arts Program at the Social Sciences Institute of Basic Sciences Department.

Lectured on Turkish Folk Music for a while. She worked as a student consultant for many undergraduate thesis. She directed her master’s thesis titled “Articulation and Bow Applications in Kemane” at the Haliç University Conservatory. She performed as a Kemane performer and solo Vocalist in various concerts of ITU. She organized a lot of student concerts for Instrument Department. She was a guest on the TRT TV for instrument (Kemane) introduction. Prepare courses for different sections and levels.

She was the member of instrument evaluation commission and BISED representative. And she written instrument section part time ‘kemane’ course program.

Currently; she works as Lecturer of Kemane at the ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory.
