Biography:

She was born in Istanbul. She graduated from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Turkish Music State Conservatory in 1999. She completed her master's degree in ITU Social Sciences Institute Turkish Music Program in 2002. She graduated from ITU Social Sciences Institute Musicology and Music Theory PhD Program in 2002. In 2005, she started to work as a lecturer at ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory Department of Vocal Performance. In 2010, she received the title of Assistant Professor in vocal performance. She is still working as the Head of Vocal Performance Department at the university where she is conducting courses on Turkish Classical Music Repertoire. In addition to her solo concerts, she has participated in national and international concerts and recorded CDs together with the ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory Turkish Music Ensemble, Izmir Baroque Ensemble and Lale Women Ensemble
