He was born in Istanbul. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2003 at the Department of Basic Sciences, Faculty of Music, Istanbul Technical University (ITU). He began his ney training with Prof. Dr. Süleyman Erguner and continued with Niyazi Sayın. He also studied Turkish Music Theory for four years with Prof. Dr. Süleyman Erguner. He worked on repertoire with Prof. Dr. Nevzat Atlığ, Erol Sayan, Rahmi Sönmezocak, and Ender Ergün. He completed his Master's degree in 2018 at the Department of Turkish Religious Music at Marmara University's Institute of Social Sciences. In addition to performing as a ney artist, he was also involved in ney making and was awarded the title of "Traditional Handicrafts Artisan, Ney Maker" by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey. He has participated in numerous national and international concerts and workshops. As a ney performer, he worked with the CRR Turkish Music Ensemble during the 2012-2013 period. He took part in international cultural and artistic projects organized by TİKA (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency) and the Yunus Emre Institute. He also participated in the "MESS" International Theater Festival held in Sarajevo in 2005 and 2006. In 2024, he gave a Turkish Maqam Music seminar at the Sarajevo Music Academy. In addition to his work as a ney performer, he has provided artistic consultancy for various NGOs, and his writings have been published in magazines and newspapers.
