Biography:

She was born in Istanbul. She graduated from Oruçgazi primary school and Çemberlitaş Anatolian High School. She entered the Violin Department of the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory (Istanbul University State Conservatory) and studied violin with Ayhan Turan and Madam Lily Statzer, and solfege and harmony with Ferdi Statzer. Later, she continued her education at ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory. During this period, she studied viola with Erdoğan Saydam and Prof. Dr. Özer Sezgin while continuing her solfeggio and harmony lessons with Demirhan Altuğ, she made various studies on Turkish Music and gave concerts.

Within the scope of the International Istanbul Festival and within the Boğaziçi University Turkish Music Club, she participated in many concerts under the direction of Prof. Ruhi Ayangil as a violin and viola player.

She graduated from ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory, Department of Basic Sciences (Music Theory Department), and graduated from ITU Social Sciences Institute with a master's degree and proficiency in art program.

The works she composed were accepted into the Turkish Music Repertoire by the TRT Turkish Music Repertoire Supervisory Board. She participated in many radio recordings and as a commentator and composer. Her books titled “Türk Müziğinde Beylik Aranağmeler”, “Viola Eğitimi-1” and “Türk Müziğinde Taksim Çalışmaları (Z.B. Metot)” were published by Pan Publishing. She took part in presentations and concerts on national and international platforms.

She was awarded the title of associate professor by the Council of Higher Education in December 2018.  She currently teaches viola with the title of Professor in the academic staff of ITU State Conservatory of Turkish Music.
