Biography: 

Born in Florence, Italy, in 1985, Ozan Sarıer completed his bachelor studies at Istanbul Bilgi University Music department focusing on composition and technology, and continued his studies at Istanbul Technical University (ITU)’s Dr. Erol Ucer Center for Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM) focusing on sound engineering and design. He also worked as a research assistant. After completing his Ph.D. studies in 2020, Ozan started teaching both MIAM and TMDK courses on sound engineering & design.

Ozan has been involved in many professional recording projects as a recording, mixing, and mastering engineer and producer. Although his expertise is mainly focused on classical music, his output is not limited to it. Besides sound engineering and design, Ozan is a music technology researcher and his research areas include topics such as human-computer interaction, interaction design, digital and software music instruments, virtual reality, and computer-aided performance and composition.
