He completed his undergraduate degree in the Department of Turkish Folk Dances at the Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory in 2008, graduating with first rank degree. Later that same year, he began his master's studies in the Turkish Music program at the ITU Social Sciences Institute. In January 2011, he completed his military service as a short-term soldier and finished his master's degree in 2011 with a thesis titled "The Nine-Time Rhythmic Structures Played with the Drum in the Weddings of Gypsies Living in Thrace." In addition to his solo performances, he has performed both in Turkey and internationally with important music and dance groups such as Yarkın Ritim Grubu, İstanbul Sazkâr Topluluğu, and Anadolu Ateşi. He has performed in countries including Germany, Belgium, Austria, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Canada, Japan, China, South Korea, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Bulgaria, Greece, North Macedonia, Georgia, Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Senegal, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, and Morocco.
In 2012, he released an album titled Zaman Hikâyeleri consisting of his own compositions, under the Ahenk Music label. In 2014, he worked as the music director for the album Topkapı’da Raks (Dance at Topkapi), which was released by Fono Music. In 2016, he released an instrumental album titled Dört Boş again under the Ahenk Music label, featuring his own compositions. In 2021, he presented his solo instrumental album Gezgin to his listeners. In 2023, he released a single titled Endülüs, followed by his own compositions Uzaklar, Khaliji, and Oushak II in 2024, all under the Ahenk Music label. In the same year, he also released Gece which is a saz semai, and Sakkara, both of which are available on digital platforms.
Between 2014 and 2015, he worked as a guest artist with the Edirne State Choir Performing and Research Group, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture. From 2015 to 2019, he served as a contracted lecturer in the Department of Instrument at ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory. In 2019, he began working as a research assistant in the same department and completed his PhD at the ITU Graduate School of Arts, in the Musicology and Music Theory program, with a dissertation titled "The Common Element Creating Similarity in Popular Music in Turkey: Rhythmic Structures," which he finished in 2023. In addition to his teaching role in the Instrumental Studies Department, he continues to perform on stage and in studios with various music and dance groups.
